{Scrap challenge results}

Last night I began to tidy my craft space. I have to confess it doesn't look much tidier as I ended up making these from the bits on the table. A few additional items were used, but tried to keep them minimal.

There is one more day to get £162.50 of Stampin' Up! goodies for £99. Please contact me asap for more info.

{Scrap challenge!}

Been tidying up... can see glimpses of a table... thought I'd use up some of the scraps accumulated.

Come back and see what I do with these...

~{Artisan Embellishments Kit}~

This little kit totally brought out the girly in me. It's made up of ribbon, buttons, paper doilies and other bits and pieces.

I've been making a few cards with it.

Here's a couple for starters. I'll post more soon.

~{Birthday Blues }~

I've been seeing lots of "chalk board" technique cards in blogland and pinterest recently.

Thought I'd give it a go myself.

Instead of stamping with white ink onto black card (which is one way of doing it) I embossed with clear embossing powder onto white card. Then used three different blues and sponged over the top. I used Island Indigo, Night of Navy and Midnight Muse to create a dark but multi toned background.

Do you notice the fabulous ripped edge? This was created using a gadget that nearly passed me by in the current spring/summer catalogue (pg 14). Its a distress tool, ergonomically shaped and easy to use, its great for vintage, distressed and shabby chic style cards, only £4.50. Also useful for taking on aeroplanes if you need to cut thread! My mum has a similar one for her tatting.
